I'm an American Muslim who fell in love with the classical texts as a teenager and never really came back.
After years of full-time study of the Qurʾān, Arabic, fiqh and ḥadīth with teachers in the U.S. and abroad, I returned to serve my community as an imam. I lead prayers, teach weekly classes, work with youth, and sit with families through hard moments.

Bio for organizers
Imam Mohammed Elfarooqui is a Houston-based imam and teacher. He studied the Islamic sciences with scholars in the U.S. and abroad and teaches weekly series on Al-Shifāʾ, the Forty Ḥadīth, and the Sīrah. He is known for making classical scholarship clear and practical for young Muslims in America.
